2008 projects ranged from Alaska to England. Current projects include:
Wayland High School, Wayland, MA: Visioning, Educational Specifications + Design
This school, acknowledged in the US News Top 100 Schools ranking is, by all conventional measures, doing “everything right”, but they asked us to lead Visioning to explore the long term future. As a result we are restructuring to improve relationships and create a student-centered school which recognizes social and emotional learning as big factors in student success.
Park High School Livingston, MT: Visioning
PHS is poised for project-based learning. This Visioning developed concepts and established an implementation plan.
High School Middle School Frenchtown, MT: Educational Commissioning
Several years ago Frank led the Visioning which restructured secondary education in Frenchtown as a 7-12 experience. This year’s work revisits the school in its almost completed new home to lead faculty and staff in workshops to implement innovative educational practices facilitated by the new building.
Horizon Alternative School Evanston, WY: Visioning + Educational Specifications
This alternative school is a role model of best practices. The Visioning and Ed Spec process is refining their concepts of school and defining space needs for innovative learning.
Cuckoo Hall Primary School Enfield, ENGLAND: Educational Visioning
This high poverty, high immigrant, and high achieving school is scheduled to grow from by two more forms of entry in the next few years. The Visioning process is forcing on the school restructuring appropriate to best serve pupils in what will be a very large school.
Todd County High School Mission, SD: Educational Visioning + Educational Specifications
This high school has the challenges of high poverty and isolation. The Visioning focuses on making school more relevant, building stronger relationships with students, and creating community connections. It increases articulation with the middle school and post-secondary education. We have restructured the school in alignment with the national Career Cluster model.
City School District, Syracuse, NY: Educational Specifications
This project is focused on aligning facilities panning with District best practices, including Small Learning Communities, Special Education immersion, Teacher Planning Centers, and integrated learning.
Middletown Public Schools, Middletown, RI: Educational Visioning + Master Planning
Undertaken by Frank in his role as a Senior Planning Consultant to Fielding Nair International, this Master Plan is bringing innovation in educational delivery and facilities. Project-based learning by teacher teams in small learning communities has been Pilot Projected in the elementary schools and will be grown upwards through the schools. The Master plan includes consolidation of three elementary schools into one, and reduction of school campuses from five to two, with increasing efficiencies and improved educational opportunities.
